TEDxKobe 2026 – Brick by Brick – will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, on Rokko Island in Kobe.

TEDxKobe is an independently organized public-speaking event operated under license from TED.

At TEDxKobe, speakers from a wide range of fields and backgrounds share ideas worth spreading, shaped by their unique perspectives and experiences.

TEDxKobe 2026 Theme: “Brick by Brick”

Just as a structure is built one brick at a time, small realizations, choices, and actions accumulate and eventually take shape as something new. Each idea you encounter on this day may become a new “BRICK” of your own.

What is the After Party?

Held after the TEDxKobe talks, the After Party is an opportunity to connect with speakers, partners, and fellow attendees over food and conversation.

Share your thoughts on a memorable talk directly with the speaker, explore ideas that sparked your curiosity, and discover new perspectives and connections through conversations with people from a wide range of fields.

Enjoy buffet-style food and drinks as you mingle and continue the conversation, this time in your own words.

• This ticket is valid for the talk sessions only and does not include admission to the After Party.
• The Parent & Child ticket includes admission for one adult and one child of junior-high-school age or younger.
• Children under the age of 10 may watch from the parent-and-child room or the relay viewing room on the 4th floor.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations cannot be accepted after the respective deadlines above.

Refunds After Cancellation

Credit Card Payments

Refunds will be issued to the credit card used to purchase the ticket. The timing and method of the refund depend on the card issuer’s billing cycle.

• If the cancellation is processed before your credit card closing date, the refund will normally be processed within the same billing period and no charge will be made. Depending on your card issuer, the original charge and the cancellation may appear as two separate entries on your statement.
• If the cancellation is processed after your credit card closing date, the original payment may first be charged and the refund will normally appear as a negative amount on the following month’s statement.

Convenience Store / ATM Payments

A refund will be issued after deducting a ¥340 refund processing fee.

The ¥220 payment processing fee charged at the time of purchase is non-refundable under all circumstances.

Important Information

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation regarding the following.

• Children under 10
  Children under the age of 10 are not permitted to enter the main talk-session hall. Even when accompanied by a parent or guardian, we are unable to provide seating inside the hall where they can remain together. Please keep this in mind when purchasing tickets. Children may, however, watch the stage from the parent-and-child room at the rear of the hall. A live video feed will also be available in the activity room on the 4th floor.
• Eating and drinking are prohibited inside the hall. Please consume beverages outside the hall during breaks.
• The wearing of masks at the venue is left to each individual’s discretion.
• Please refrain from loud cheering or conversations, as they may disturb other attendees and significantly interfere with event recording and filming.
• The event may be cancelled due to severe weather or other circumstances. In that case, all ticket holders will receive a full refund. TEDxKobe will cover the refund processing fee; however, for convenience store / ATM payments, the ¥340 refund fee must be borne by the purchaser.
• Wheelchair viewing spaces are limited. If you require wheelchair accommodation, please indicate this in the “Other Questions” field at the end of the ticket purchase form.
• Photography and video recording during talk sessions inside the hall are prohibited. Photography is permitted during breaks.
• TEDxKobe is professionally photographed and recorded in accordance with TEDx official guidelines. All attendees may appear in the following media:

  • TEDxKobe Official Flickr
  • Websites operated by TEDxKobe
  • TEDxKobe official social media channels
• TEDxKobe presentations will generally be delivered in Japanese. Japanese-to-English simultaneous interpretation will not be available for this event.
• Sign-language interpretation will not be provided at this event.
• If the TEDxKobe Organizing Committee determines that an attendee is unable to comply with the TEDxKobe Code of Conduct, admission may be refused or the attendee may be asked to leave the hall.
